Where are you located?

We are proudly based in Houston, Texas, but we serve the whole country and can even ship internationally. Our address is 8700 Long Point Road  Houston, Texas 77055. Feel free to stop by 11AM-7PM Monday through Friday!

 

What is your warranty?

All custom lenses from See the Sea RX come with a lifetime warranty against chipping, hazing, or delamination. Dive Masks carry their manufacturers warranty. Stock lens masks come with a 2 year warranty for their lenses and masks.

What is your return policy?

Due to the custom nature of our work, we do not offer returns. If you pick a mask and there is a fit issue or you have any vision issues, please let us know within 30 days, and we will replace the mask. Just pay shipping to us, and we will take care of the rest!

What is your standard turn around time?

Our standard turn around time (not including shipping or holidays) is approximately 2 business weeks from when you place your order for a new mask or when we receive your mask to install lenses. Due to the custom nature of our work standard turn around times are not guaranteed, but rush options are available. 

What if i buy a prescription dive mask online and it doesn't fit?

If you buy a mask from us, and it does not fit, please let us know within 30 days, and we will replace it.

do you outsource your work?

Lens production and insertion occurs right here in our lab in Houston, Texas. We do not ship our masks out for any lens installation. 

Can you correct for prism & astigmatism?

All custom lenses (not including stock lens masks) for dive masks, swim goggles, and full face snorkel masks can correct for double vision (using prism in lenses) and astigmatism (cylinder power).

What are your lenses made of?

All our dive mask lenses are produced with real glass. Lenses for swim goggles and full face snorkel masks are generally polycarbonate. 

Can I still use defog (and do I need to prep my mask)?

All dive masks lenses can use any standard defog, and anything safe for use on a dive mask is safe for use on your glass lenses. You do not need to prep a new mask from us or prep your mask you are sending to us with toothpaste or scrub. Do NOT use any  heat or flame to prep your lenses and you may damage the lenses or mask. 

Do you offer a military discount?

Thank you for your service. We do offer a discount to active and retired military, law enforcement, EMS, and fire. Contact us by phone or email for details. 

Can you do bifocals?

Yes, we can put bifocals, readers, or single vision lenses into your mask. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

 

Do you replace the glass in our dive masks when we send them to you?

We do not replace your lens glass. We prepare a glass lens made for your exact prescription, including astigmatism correction, and we chemically bond the lens to your existing dive mask glass.

 

Can you make a prescription dive mask for astigmatism?

Can you make prescription swim goggles with transition lenses?

Transition lenses, which are the name brand (not affiliated with see the sea) of a photochromic lens. Photochromic lenses change colors (or tint) in the sun. See the Sea RX uses Transition brand lenses in our photochromic prescription swim goggles. Transition lenses can be installed in the Shark, Shark JR, and Propulsion Swim Goggles on the swim goggle order page. 

CAN I USE MY FSA OR HSA ACCOUNT FOR PRESCRIPTION DIVE MASKS?

Yes, you can use your flexible spending account or healthcare savings account for a prescription dive mask. Please note that only the mask and lenses are considered the covered items. These accounts cannot be used for snorkels or other accessories. 

I have a really strong prescription. Can you make prescription swim goggles or a prescription dive mask for me?

We specialize in underwater vision correction including those with extreme corrections. We have made dive masks and swim goggles as strong as -28 through +22. We often get asked, can you make my prescription, and we have yet to say no.
